Northern Saw-Whet Christmas Owl

During our Christmas Bird count over the weekend, a Northern Saw-Whet Owl roost was discovered. We returned to the site yesterday and were able to capture and band this gorgeous little owl for research and conservation. She was released immediately afterwards.

Finding one of these in December is always a Christmas treat!
